November 30, 2022: President Kagame gave his speech in the parliament. The ceremony begins with Rwanda National Anthem. The atmosphere is sullen and somewhat uncharged, lifeless. There is fear in the room. Before delivering his speech to the RWANDA parliament, new cabinet members are sworn in. Before going back to their seat, each new member bows before the dictator king. President Kagame’s speech is about 1hr 13 minutes long. Most of his time is spent talking against FDRL, DRC, International Community and his critics. Here are the major takeaways.
IS RWANDA ARMY IN DRC CONGO? KAGAME’S ANSWER: YES AND NO
Talking whether Rwanda is in DRC Congo, Kagame responded that “there is a possibility that can take us there.” Territory integrity for him does not exist, if he finds a reason to invade a sovereign nation, then he must do it. He expressed his anger that someone dares to say he can’t go there if there were valid reasons. He asserts that it is his right to go in DRC Congo to take care of his enemy… but who are his enemies?
KAGAME’S ENEMIES
- All his critics and opposition members
- His enemies are genocidaires
- His enemies are FDRL, the rebel group whom he accuses of committing the Rwanda 94 genocide. Remember also that Kagame calls Paul Rusesabagina a terrorist. Rusesabagina is the renown humanitarian hero who risked his life to save lives in 94. The Rwanda government managed to lure him and kidnapped him to Rwanda from his USA home and Rwanda court sentenced him to 25 years in prison on bogus terrorism charge.
Maybe it is time that the world start looking carefully whom Kagame calls genocidaires and terrorists. The people he accuses are like Rusesabagina, true freedom fighters with a heart and a zeal to free enslaved Rwandans. By what we see, the whole country is enslaved and a gigantic prison: It is a crime to protest, it is a crime to criticize the president or the government, no freedom of speech – people are forbidden to speak or even what you text, you text at your own risk. Kagame has stripped Rwandans of all human basic rights.
HE HAS PLANS TO GO INTO RDC
Kagame revealed his plans and dreams to go into DRC. He revealed he is attracted to cross the border because his critics are there. He has asked Tshisekedi to let Rwanda cross the border to take care of FDRL and he has refused. He expressed his anger towards Tshisekedi and acknowledges he cannot sleep knowing his critics leave across the border.
ALL CRITICS MUST BE UNDER HIS CONTROL
At the moment, all critics in Rwanda are under his control. Former presidential candidates have not even a right to get a passport to leave the country. They are censored and their movements and speeches are controlled. Kagame also wants all his critics abroad to be silent and under controled. He wants to quench democracy everywhere not only in Rwanda but worldwide.
HE HAS PLANS TO HARM HIS CRITICS
In his speech, he said that his critics are messed up people. He revealed that his critics abroad will one day be dealt with, “we just left them be free, to mess themselves up until … at some point, if need be, we take care of them.”
KAGAME IDENTIFIED HIMSELF WITH THOSE WHO ARE IN THE CONGO
Though Kagame denied Rwanda army being in DRC, he said, “We are so many in DRC.” He cited others rebels groups and other international organizations in DRC. He seemed to know very well about the rebel’s groups in DRC. He said there was over 100 rebels’ groups in DRC.
HE BLAMED DRC FOR PROTECTING ITS TERRITORY
He said DRC is keen fighting M23 while they do not fight FDRL
NOT ONCE DID HE CONDEMN M23
As M23 Spokesperson in Chief, Kagame said that after dissolving M23 in 2012, some M23 fighters went to Rwanda while others went to Uganda. He said there were 8,000 M23 Banyamulenge refugees in the Rwanda camps. Many people should remember the shooting of 12 Banyamulenge refugees by Rwanda on February 22, 2018. Rwanda held these refugees captives and prevented them to leave Rwanda to Congo. When they resisted, Rwanda police used force, shot at them and killed some – You can read the HRW here. FDRL
He spent most of his time talking against FDRL. He called them genocidaire terrorists. Remember that’s how he called the kind humanitarian champion Rusesabagina. Those familiar with Kagame’s game knows that everyone he sees as a threat to remove his diabolic regime or anyone who knows his role in the 1994 genocide, he demonizes them and manage to find a way to criminalize them in front of the International Community. So far it has worked well for him. It is time the world really wakes up and see what this man is trying to hide calling every freedom fighter a genocidaire.
KAGAME WARNED INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY – “IT WILL COST YOU”
He expressed his anger towards the International Community for standing with DRC Congo instead of Rwanda. He said Rwanda is standing alone. He reminded them that “Rwanda has no means but they have ways,” one more time emphasizing that what they want, if they do not give it to them, they will use force. He blamed the International community for picking on the little guy, the Kagame regime. That they deceive themselves in underestimating the power of the little guy. He compared Rwanda to a short banana tree that has short leaves while Congo is a tall banana tree that has lots of minerals than Rwanda. He said that international community is picking on the short banana leaves because it is the easy one to reach. He warned the International Community that they are lying to themselves. He warned that whoever picks on Rwanda, it will be costly for them.
HE MOCKED THE FREEDOM OF PEOPLE AND THE SO-CALLED HUMAN RIGHTS
He mocked those who say Rwanda violates human rights. He said that the International Community should look at what Rwanda has built with the support they gave them. To him they should not question nor look at his terrible human rights violations.
HE DENIED OF LOOTING DRC
He said that his regime are not thieves but at the same time He confirmed Rwanda is a channel through which minerals are looted but that they do not stay in Rwanda.
PERSONAL ATTACK AGAINST PRESIDENT TSHISEKEDI
He accused him of being the trouble maker of Congo problems so that he can stay in power longer. He accused Tshisekedi for creating an emergency war to stay in power. Dictator president Kagame who has been in power since 1994 and has changed the constitution so that he can stay in power till 2034 was lecturing about democracy to one term DRC president Tshisekedi.
MEDDLING IN CONGO ELECTION
He said that Tshisekedi did not win his election. A good reminder to our reader that at the time, Kagame was the African Union Chairman and he is the one who pronounced and congratulated Tshisekedi winner of DRC election on behalf of African countries.
KAGAME THE WARMONGER AND THE WAR EXPERT
He spins around talking about the genocide of 1994 but never talked the crimes that took place in Rwanda since His RPF invaded Rwanda 1990. Before 1990 RPF invasion, Rwanda had 0 massacres. There are horrible crimes that took place since RPF invaded Rwanda between 1990-1194. Nobody talks about these crimes, no justice has ever been served to these war criminals.
Kagame the warmonger denied to have ever created a war in Congo nor any conflict in DRC. He said that if there is anyone who knows about wars, “you come to me. I know about war and I know how bad it is.”
